Tell us about the area you come from in Italy….
I was born in a lovely town called Savona which is in the North West of Italy facing the Ligurian Sea.
I grew up very closed to the sea and not far from the Alps and when I was young swimming and skiing were my favourite sports.
Liguria is a fantastic region with medieval traits and romantic town like Cinque Terre and Portofino.
Top tips of places to visit in Italy….
Italy is a fantastic country where every city has its own beauty.
I personally love Firenze because it is a city of art and good food but Roma is the real heart of Italy and it represents how the Italians are :confusional, colourful, easy going and warm.
How would your friends and family describe you?
My friends and family describe me a funny person that likes to make everyone laugh.
I try my best to be positive in life and not take everything too seriously, I am an energetic person and I love to dance (some of my colleagues in the centre are very aware of it!!!)
What is your worst trait?
My worst trait is my impulsiveness.
In the past I have made very quick decisions but I still haven’t regret anything!!
What’s your greatest passion in life?
My greatest passion in life is sport and especially cycling.
I used to run marathons and I love the feeling that running was giving me but cycling give me the freedom of travel long distances and to cross countries just with the steam of my legs and the willpower of my mind.
I love to ride for hours at my own speed looking at the scenery. I find it so relaxing!!
And your biggest bugbear?
I am not particularly keen in negative or rude people especially when I am commuting with my in the traffic of London. Everyone is stressed and angry and this really upsets me.
What would your perfect day look like?
My perfect day should start with a ride or a run in Battersea park and some meditation and tai chi in front of the pagoda. Then a nice big breakfast and going to work (not really because in my imaginary perfect day and life I would have won the lottery) and spend lots of time with friends and family. I love to be surrounded by people that I love. I also love to cuddle my cats and having an afternoon nap on the sofa next to them.
Why did you decide to pursue a career in massage?
When I was running marathons massage was a big part of my training and I always been interested in the human body and the way it works so it was an easy choice for me to start studying remedial and sport massage. Helping to make people feeling better is amazing.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given by anyone?
the best advice I have been told is to be kind with everyone because we don’t know what the person has been through in life. I always keep this thought in mind
Your favourite Italian recipe….?
I am dreadful at cooking, absolutely hopeless. The last time I made lasagne it went from the oven straight to the bin (even my father refuse to eat it -which was quite upsetting) but I have a good appetite and I can appreciate good food. I love pasta and bread and if you go to Liguria you must try focaccia di Recco which is a typical flat oily bread filled with cheese.
