Abi trained and worked as a professional dancer for 10 years travelling around the world. Through this, she developed a passion and understanding of the body and how to fix and maintain it.
Now retired from dancing, Abi has been at The Massage Centre for 5 years specialising in sports and remedial and pregnancy massage. She also works at The Urdang Academy in Islington (a professional dance college)
Now a proud mum, Abi has a real knowledge of how massage can benefit women pre and post natal.
Dominik’s passion for Massage Therapy started during his early years at Medical University in Poland, where he was studying Physiotherapy. After completing Bachelors and Masters degrees he moved to London and graduated from London School of Sport and Remedial Massage to perfect his soft tissue techniques.
Dominik focuses on rebalancing muscle tone and bringing the body back to harmony. He believes that chronic pain can be relieved by quality massage and more functional body posture. For client’s personal benefit he’s happy to incorporate reeducation into massage treatment.
Although he has a strong medical background he believes working as massage therapist is a life long process. Calm personality matches his passion for paragliding.
Ginta’s interest in massage started at an early age, having received massage therapy and acupuncture in Thailand, the “capital of massage”. These treatments reaffirmed her decision to pursue a career in alternative therapy in London.
Understanding how treatments that are precisely tailored to an individual’s needs help the client to live life to the fullest, Ginta moved on to the clinical sector. She now helps clients deal with physical, emotional and stress related issues by motivating and guiding them through the healing process. Finding herself to be naturally intuitive, she specializes in very detailed body or soft tissue treatments, rebalancing clients and helping them find any hidden causes of their problem. Treating everyone as an individual with enthusiasm and care has become Ginta’s mission, allowing her to gain trust and maintain a loyal client base.
Karen is a sports massage therapist who has an exceptional understanding of body mechanics and pain referral chains. As someone who lives with piriformis syndrome (pseudo sciatica) she understands pain, and as such specialises in the relief and management of pain and injury. Karen seeks to find the underlying cause of any discomfort to better manage, or eliminate it.
She is highly qualified and can also offer a deeply relaxing massage, Tui Na, dry needling, full body deep tissue, Indian head massage and an organic natural facelift.
Natalia is dedicated to her work and is qualified as a physiotherapist in her native Poland. She has worked on neurological conditions and with cancer patients and is passionate about the subjects of anatomy and genetics. When she moved to London she studied and graduated from the London School of Sports and Remedial Massage to compliment her soft tissue massage skills. Whether you are a footballer, Paralympian, mum or an office worker, Natalia is extremely client focused and will develop a relationship with you to fulfil your massage goals.
Nick is a sports therapist with a wealth of knowledge based on body mechanics, pain referrals and anatomy. He studied at The University of Northampton where he graduated as a sports therapist. Nick has worked with many professional athletes in the fields of rugby, cricket, football and marathon runners. As a result he has developed his knowledge by working alongside other health care professionals to master and perfect the treatments he offers to the general public and athletes. Nick believes people should live pain free and that there are roots and causes to physical discomfort. By knowing this Nick aims to find underlying issues and treat appropriately. A few of the treatments Nick specialises in are full body deep tissue massage, trigger point techniques and post isometric relaxation techniques.
Sigita was just 14 when she started to develop an interest in massage, intially inspired by her love of sport. She then continued to gain practice and knowledge at the prestigious London School of Sports and Remedial Massage. Sigita believes massage is all about obtaining a balance, both physically and mentally. Her positive energy is expressed through her massage enthusiasm, and skill.
Tamas qualified from the school of Bodyology in London University. He started work life in his native Hungary, as a carpenter, and has worked with his hands ever since. He loves a challenge and his approach to treatment is to learn the root of a problem, not just treat the symptom. He has a genuine sense of care and empathy and many clients comment on the support and commitment that he offers. When Tamas is not massaging he enjoys walking with his wife & daughter and if you get him talking about martial arts you’ll learn his love for krav maga.
Justyna has a passion for “the magic work” of massage therapy. She has always been drawn to the service industry, graduating in Hotel Management and Tourism in her native Poland. Her passion to help others inspired her to retrain over the years to become a Sports Massage therapist with further specialities in pregnancy and labour massage therapy. Justyna feels that providing massage not only helps her to contribute to her client’s physical health, but supports their mental, emotional and spiritual well-being as well.
When she’s not in the treatment room Justyna enjoys playing sport, reading, visiting museums, galleries and events. Although, if given time you’ll find her exploring nature, especially walking along the south coast or mountain hiking.
Justyna loves to make people smile and make a difference in their lives.
Meg has a Bsc in Sports Rehabilitation, from St Marys University in Twickenham. As a keen sports person, excelling in tennis, Meg has experienced the challenges injuries create in both a sporting environment and everyday life. These experiences have driven her to become a professional in the field and therefore able to offer a variety of rehabilitation skills to fit all client’s needs.
In her career to date, she has provided personalised diagnosis; recovery plans and associated treatments in varying environments, including professional rugby teams, in private clinics and a specialised non-sporting cardiovascular and neurological gym. Here she provided multiple forms of treatment, from deep tissue massage to taping.
The ability to apply both hands on and observational analysis and diagnosis, allows Meg to create a plan of action for each individual. This is a skill she specialises in, and forms an integral part of the recovery techniques and methods she uses to reduce and eliminate pain, increase her client’s confidence and return them to full fitness.
Sara is a keen runner and cyclist who firmly believes in the importance of massage for the wellbeing of muscles and mind. She qualified as a Soft Tissue Therapist at The London School of Sports Massage but has additionally added Dry Cupping, Indian Head Massage and Manual Lymphatic Drainage to her skill set. She is currently studying Neurokinetic and Reflexology and plans to add these to her spectrum of knowledge shortly. Sara has a very caring personality and her traits of kindness, passion and helpfulness are ever present. She has learned a wealth of life experience traveling Europe from her native Italy to completing cross country cycling charity events in several other countries.
Elliott's passion for massage started at an early age whilst he was suffering with debilitating migraines whilst at high school.
It was throughout this process he learnt a great deal about the modern approach to musculoskeletal problems and wanted to devote his time to helping people with similar complaints.
Elliott completed his university studies in Melbourne Australia where he went on to work with both professional athletes as well as chronic pain sufferers.
He believes that restoring symmetry to the human body will ensure correct functioning is carried out and pain and dysfunction is eradicated.
Juliette was born in France and is interested in arts, music, theatre, outdoor activities and traveling. She graduated from the Australian College of Natural Therapies in Brisbane and worked in both Australia and New Zealand before joining The Massage Centre. Being passionate about people she worked as a Clown Doctor in Reunion Island before pursuing her interests in natural health and well-being to become a massage therapist.
Juliette believes that helping people is our duty of care as human beings. Exploring the world has taught Juliette that our body is our first home…so if it feels better our nest is comfortable! Her mission is to relieve pain, reduce stress and enhance mobility by tailoring and giving the best massage treatments possible. Her massage treatments include deep tissue, trigger point, sports, mobilisation, cupping and myofascial release techniques and she also offers pregnancy massage treatments.
