Experienced Massage Therapist Required

An established successful practice in Chiswick, London, has a vacancy for a self-employed person with an intuitive and natural ability to massage, who provides a consistently high service to clients, and has excellent customer service skills.

You will get an opportunity to work full time or part time (ideally with a minimum of at least 12 hours per week), belong to an enthusiastic and highly committed team, and have the opportunity to do what you love. Clients will be provided though our marketing and referral system.

The ideal person will have both sports massage qualifications and a background in holistic therapies, and a minimum of 300 client hours practice. We are preferably looking for someone who lives in the West London area within an easy travel distance to the practice.

Job Description

We are an established Massage Practice and we are looking for additional therapists to provide sports and or deep tissue massage treatments to new and existing customers of the practice. We are looking for experienced therapists who have a passion for massage to maintain the high service standards that our clients expect. Customer care is our priority and we will choose natural ability over the level of qualification.


The desired candidate must fit the following criteria:

Treatment: Have an intuitive and natural massage ability to massage.  Deliver a reliable and consistent high service sports/deep tissue massage. Be attentive and sensitive to the client’s needs during the massage. Remaining communicative throughout as to what you are finding and why you are employing the techniques used.

Consultation Process: Listen, observe and communicate with the client to understand their needs, priorities and expectations. Show excellent customer service skills to enable you to grow and manage a trusting relationship with the client.

Aftercare: Advise the client on how they may feel following a massage, relevant stretches, tips and after care support.

Professional: Have experience in treating a variety of sporting and postural conditions and an interest in developing your skills.  Present in a dependable and punctual manner with smart appearance and high personal hygiene. Invest in your own health so that you can be, and work at your best.

Personality: We are looking for positive reliable therapists with an outgoing and friendly approach. Confident and enthusiastic about your work and possess great communication skills.

Team Work: We encourage all our therapists to treat one another to gain an understanding of how each of us uniquely works. This enables us to advise our clients on whether a colleague’s skills may be of better benefit to their particular condition. We all ensure that the treatment room is kept clean and tidy, towels washed etc.

Self Care: A therapist who is able to maintain healthy professional boundaries with clients and who looks after their own mental and physical health wellbeing.

Shifts Available: We’re looking for motivated, hardworking and energetic therapists who aim to fill their appointment slots consistently. We would prefer someone to work the right amount of shifts for them to preserve their energy and maintain a healthy life/work balance.

Employment Details: You will be self employed and insured, and will be paid by the hour worked on a commission and contract basis.

Qualifications: Applicants must be able to show proof of qualifications and levels achieved.

Support: You will be provided with support and guidance, mentoring, marketing, facilities etc and have an opportunity to have input into developing the practice.
